acceptable stay, but the location IS concerning
unsafe alleyways inadequate lighting
the room was spacious, a feature i appreciated after long days.
the alleyways leading to the location felt unsafe, especially at night, and lacked adequate lighting. i stumbled over some metal rods, causing a bad injury. i found this unacceptable and it significantly impacted my experience.

friendly staff quiet rooftop terrace beautiful riad unsafe alleyway dirty alleyway bad lighting
the staff cleaned the room everyday and this was really appreciate it. the riad is beautiful and quiet even on the rooftop terrace. the terrace is very nice especially after a hectic time in the medina streets.
the alleyways to the hotel i found it to be unsafe and dirty. it was especially scary for women to be walking alone there. one of the alleyway near the road had metal rods and pipes all over.

a charmed stay
attentive staff delicious food breakfast selection
the staff was always attentive. Ahmad, samira, and khadija deserve recognition. the food was delicious, and i particularly enjoyed the breakfast selection with varied options daily. i requested local cuisine, and it was delicious and reasonably priced.
The alleyways leading to the hotel felt a bit unsafe, especially at night. one alleyway near the road had metal rods, and there was no lighting, so it felt very dark. it made walking alone a bit scary. Better lighting would improve the experience.
